Our November bereavement support weekend was held at Upton Primary School in Broadstairs. We welcomed eight young people and one guide dog for the weekend. Visually impaired Harry brought his guide dog Jolly to assist him. Jolly was a huge hit with volunteers and children alike and behaved impeccably throughout.
During the course of the weekend the young people had an opportunity to tell their story and to think about their feelings and emotions. There was an opportunity to explore anger and safe ways of managing it.
On Sunday morning there were music therapy sessions allowing the young people to share feelings and memories through the use of instruments.
